She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 29

“What the hell is going on?” Tucker stepped in front of Loyce, furious. “Harassing my guest in my restaurant? Throw them all out. And ban them permanently.”

“Who the hell do you think you are?” Lester yanked against the guards. “The customer’s always right, and you think you can kick me out? Nobody’s stopping me from teaching my own sister a lesson today!”

Regulars in the restaurant recognized Tucker and couldn’t help warning him. “Lester, I’d rethink running your mouth in front of Mr. Tucker.”

Anyone who knew the circles understood: Tucker had close ties with the Shapiro family, and his wife came from an old-money dynasty tied to the largest restaurant group in the world. The Sampsons didn’t even register next to that.

Lester didn’t know any of that. He kept arguing anyway. Tucker flicked his hand and security hauled Lester and his group out of the restaurant.

Tucker followed up with a public order, “From now on, every restaurant under Crown Group blacklists the Sampsons. Not one of them is allowed in. Go be ‘the customer’ somewhere else.”

Crown Group wasn’t just this one sky-high restaurant. It also owned cafés, bars, and fine-dining venues favored by the wealthy—practically every high-society event used Crown Group’s team. Being banned from them was basically the same as being shut out of elite parties altogether.

Only when he was actually thrown outside did Lester snap out of his rage and realize he’d really messed up. That middle-aged man was the owner of Crown Group. And Loyce really was his VIP guest.

How was that possible? Loyce was supposed to be an orphan who’d have nothing the moment she was kicked out. How did she know someone like that?

Lucian came out of the elevator toward Loyce and noticed the ruined cake in her hands. “The driver said you never came down. What happened?”
