She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 201

Robert flinched. “If you’re trying to gift Loyce, you can wait until tomorrow.”

Only then did Lucian put his phone away. “Have you found anything else on Gavin Quinn?”

Robert nodded and motioned for another man to come in and give his report.

...

Inside Blossom Drugstore, Loyce watched her account gain a hundred thousand followers overnight, rocketing her to the top of the newcomer charts. She was satisfied with the numbers, and even more so when she checked her account balance.

The Walshes had twisted and tarnished Marcella’s name, but now, with the power of the internet, Loyce could reclaim every bit of the honor and reputation her mentor had lost.

After helping the staff pack up the streaming equipment, Loyce called over a pharmacist. “Post a job notice tonight. We need more and better doctors here at Blossom. There’s too much work for just the few of us. Send all the résumés to me; I’ll personally vet every candidate.”

The pharmacist nodded, then hesitated. “But…”

Seeing his reluctance, Loyce said simply, “If you have something to say, just say it. Problems are meant to be solved.”

“Well,” the pharmacist began, “we can always borrow medicine and equipment from CoreWell Pharmacy, but it’s not a long-term solution. We’re getting more and more patients, and this drugstore is just too small. I think we need a larger, more professional facility.”

Loyce smiled. “I’ve already thought about that.”

The pharmacist’s eyes lit up. “We’re moving?”

“Not just yet,” Loyce said. “With the Walsh family’s downfall, Walsh Hospital was seized by the government. It’s going up for auction soon, and I’m going to buy it.”

The hospital’s leadership had been corrupt, but its equipment was state-of-the-art and perfectly functional. Acquiring it for Blossom Drugstore was the perfect move. And she would personally take down the Walsh Hospital sign, right in front of the remaining family members. Loyce knew Marcella would have loved that.

Purity Walsh, her apprentice Zachary, and Fernand Walsh were all sentenced to prison. The extended family scattered, desperate to avoid any association. The only one released on bail was Sapphire Walsh.

The once-great Walsh family was in ruins. When Sapphire was released, she tried to go home, only to find the family mansion sealed by the government. Her bank accounts and assets were frozen. The once-envied heiress was now a homeless wanderer on the streets.

With no one else to turn to, she picked up her phone and called Gavin.

Gavin had been on edge for days. When he saw Sapphire’s name on his screen, he pictured her arrogant face and answered. “Well, well, pigs must be flying. To what do I owe the pleasure of a call from you?”

Sapphire gripped her phone, swallowing her pride. “I was acquitted, but why are the Walsh mansion and hospital sealed off?”
