Gerard could hardly believe that the legendary “SaintHealer” was a young woman in her early twenties, and the heiress of the most powerful family
at that.
He couldn’t help but study Loyce again. She was leaning nonchalantly against her motorcycle, idly playing with her phone, looking for all the world like a typical college student.
“What? Disappointed?” Loyce asked, a smirk playing on her lips.
“No, just… surprised,” Gerard said quickly. He hesitated. “So, the reason Hugo never revealed your identity was because…”
“Because if you bunch of outlaws knew ‘SaintHealer‘ was a young girl, you probably would have staged a rebellion by now,” Loyce stated matter–of–factly.
When she had first taken them in, her chip technology wasn’t fully developed, so she couldn’t risk revealing her identity. She had Hugo keep it under wraps, and he had done a surprisingly good job; none of them had ever seen her true face.
Now, however, her technology was perfected. These people would rather kill themselves than betray her.
“Alicia gave me five million,” Gerard confessed. “She wanted to ensure her story was spread far and wide.”
Loyce raised an eyebrow. “She’s quite generous.”
“It’s probably because she found out Mr. Gordon Lonsdale is planning to transfer Serenity Manor into your name,” Gerard explained. “And Macrostar Production, which Edgar Lonsdale has been managing, is also set to be handed over to you after you graduate.”
At this, Loyce finally dropped her lazy posture and stood up straight. “Where did you hear that?”

Gerard scratched his head. “This isn’t the first time I’ve worked with
Alicia. To make sure she wasn’t pulling anything, I planted a bug in her bedroom a long time ago. I check in on it occasionally to keep tabs on things.”
Loyce hadn’t expected that twist. She couldn’t help but laugh. “I see.”
Gerard glanced at her nervously. “So, does this count as making up for my mistake?”
Technically, he shouldn’t have taken a private job. The whole organization was busy investigating the recent incident with the maritime weapons shipment.
Loyce’s smile vanished. “Confiscate all the money and distribute it among the guys who are still out working.”
