When Sarah returned home, Aunty Bush asked where she went. She replied vaguely but did not dare to say that she had just taken care of Aaron. At night, she couldn't sleep. Her daughter was rubbing up and down in her arms. She looked at her daughter under the light, who looked exactly like Aaron.
"Mummy, when can Daddy sleep with us? I miss Daddy!" Chloe's tender voice was full of emotion.
Sarah thought if Chloe grew older, she would definitely need a father. Could she really be able to let go of all her resentment and accept Aaron?
Sarah looked down at her daughter's big black eyes. Then she answered," I will take you to see him sometimes."
"Mummy, did you have a fight with Daddy?" Chloe asked sensitively.
Sarah didn't want to depress Chloe. However, Chloe was a sensible child and she could feel that something had happened between her and Aaron.
"No! He's just busy." Sarah comforted Chloe.
"I really want to see him! Can I see him tomorrow?" Chloe asked expectantly, and she increasingly wanted to see Aaron.
Sarah wondered if Aaron would be well after taking the medicine.
"Well, go to bed early, let's go to see him early
tomorrow morning!" She comforted her.
"Ok! Don't lie to me!"
"I won't lie to you." Sarah smiled.
Chloe gradually falling asleep, but Sarah couldn' t fall asleep. She couldn't stop thinking about him getting wet today.
Why did he do that? Did he really miss his daughter? Or....
Or he still had some feelings for her? Was this a feeling of guilt? Or was he trying to win her forgiveness?
Sarah closed her eyes and thought of their first meeting. Although Aaron did not know Chloe was his daughter, he took care of her for two days, and actively contacted Sarah. He was a good man.
And then, he slowly approached her and promoted her from a supporting role to the current leading role. It's all his work.
In the ordinary life, he took good care of her and Chloe. Before he knew the story of Chloe, he treated her as if she were his own daughter.
Therefore, the incident four years ago was a misunderstanding. He was drunk and walked in the wrong room and she also took medicine.
If Aaron didn't walk into her room, it would be another man. Actually, her fate at that night was doomed. Compared with other men, if it was Aaron, she would feel more comforted.
Sarah thought a lot, and then fall asleep.
However, she had a nightmare in which Aaron was in danger and sent to hospital. She was awakened directly by the dream.
She looked at the time. It was seven o'clock in the morning. She was in a cold sweat, while Chloe slept like a cute cat.
Sarah got up and dressed. She stood in front of the French window and looked at Aaron's villa. She still wanted to see him.
Sarah woke up Chloe. Chloe usually stayed in bed in the morning but this time she immediately sat up when she heard that they were going to visit Aaron.
Seeing how her daughter missed Aaron, Sarah thought perhaps she had done the right thing. At least she could not interfere with the relationship between him and Chloe. As for the relationship between she and Aaron, she did not think about it.
Sarah took her daughter to Aaron's door. Instead of letting him open the door, she pressed the fingerprint lock herself. Unexpectedly, her fingerprint could still open his door.
"Of course you can." Then Aaron asked Sarah, "Did you eat breakfast?"
"Not yet," Sarah said.
"Okay, I’ll change my clothes, and then we'll go out for breakfast. Please wait for me." Aaron put his daughter down.
"I want to accompany my father to change clothes." Chloe jumped excitedly.
Sarah quickly stopped her. "No, it' s inappropriate."
Chloe was still too young to understand her my
mother's words. She was just sad.
Aaron smiled and squatted down. "Just wait for me for a while. I will soon come down."
He quickly went upstairs and changed clothes. He did not wear a suit as usual but put on a gray t-shirt and linen trousers, making him look very easygoing.
He picked up Chloe and said to Sarah, "Let's go!"
Sarah followed him. Although she was silent, Aaron understood she began to forgive him.
As long as she would forgive him, he would be happy. As long as she forgave him, he would be happy, and as for how long it would take, he would wait.
Sarah sat in his car and accompanied Chloe to eat breakfast nearby. She looked out the window and listened to her daughter chatting with Aaron. She thought that hating someone was more tiring than forgiving someone.
