Salute to the General novel Chapter 3558

Shadowbeard's words infuriated Feralbone and his comrades.

“Since he doesn't know what's good for him, there's no need to hesitate. Kill him,” Valorax spat.

“Yes. I'm sure Elder Morgon will understand if we killed him,” Thornweaver added.

“Exactly,” Carnifex chimed in. “He'll sabotage our hunt for Nathan if we don't get rid of him. The God King would not be pleased if we fail to complete our mission.”

The words of his companions helped Feralbone make up his mind.

He sneered at Shadowbeard. “Since you insist on seeking death, we'll oblige you.”

Then, he turned to the others. “Who will send him on his way?” he asked coolly.

“I'll do it,” Thornweaver volunteered at once.

As soon as she spoke, she moved abruptly, transforming into an afterimage as she charged toward Shadowbeard.

Whoosh!

At the same moment she closed in on Shadowbeard, a skeletal whip appeared in her hand. With a deadly crack, she lashed it toward her foe.

Shadowbeard reacted swiftly, leaping away at once.

The skeletal whip of Thornweaver missed Shadowbeard, but it struck a dense thicket of trees, snapping them in half at the thickest part of the trunk. One after another, they fell with a cascade of thunderous crashes.

Though Thornweaver's strike missed its mark, she did not pause for even a moment. Like a phantom, she pursued Shadowbeard, unleashing a tempestuous onslaught against him.

Boom! Boom!

The crackle of the whip echoed incessantly.

After evading all of Thornweaver's attacks, Shadowbeard finally made his move. He swung a fist at Thornweaver.

Thornweaver hurriedly raised her left hand, exchanging a move with her adversary.

Boom!

An almighty crash shook the heavens and the earth.

Both of them staggered back about ten meters and, after steadying themselves, revealed their respective combat forms.

Thornweaver had two pairs of white wings on her back, looking gallant and impressive.

Shadowbeard, with two pairs of blood-red bone wings unfurled on his back, exuded unparalleled dominance.

Brandishing her skeletal whip, Thornweaver launched another frenzied attack against Shadowbeard.

Despite managing to hold on for a while, he was soon overwhelmed by the lightning-fast onslaught, which forcefully shattered his defenses.

Seizing the opportunity, Carnifex charged like a wild bull and struck Shadowbeard with a fierce blow.

Bang!

Shadowbeard was sent flying backward.

While he was in midair, Valorax appeared, delivering a brutal kick to Shadowbeard and sending him flying once again.

Flapping her wings, Thornweaver swiftly caught up and brandished the skeletal whip in her hand.

The weapon struck Shadowbeard's head with a loud crack, causing blood to splatter. Once more, he was sent flying straight down into the waterfall below.

Feralbone and the others hovered in mid-air, coldly watching Shadowbeard's corpse being swept away by the current.

“Should we pursue and ascertain that he's dead?” Thornweaver asked.

Valorax and Carnifex, too, turned their gaze toward the Feralbone in the lead.

“Not necessary,” Feralbone said coldly. “With the blow to his head you dealt, I doubt he'll survive. Moreover, whether he lives or dies isn't important to us. Our primary task is to locate Nathan and eliminate him. There is no further need to waste time on this fellow.”

Thornweaver and the others nodded, then followed Feralbone as they departed, continuing their pursuit to kill Nathan.
