Salute to the General novel Chapter 3553

Fang ordered the thirty thousand soldiers of the North Army to wait in place.

He walked up to Hepburn and Eugene IV, accompanied by Destroyer and Heptakill.

Upon seeing Fang, Eugene IV wore a peculiar expression. It was clear he hadn't expected Eurasia's Northern Army to appear there.

However, it wasn't surprising that North Army was there when something happened to Nathan. In fact, it would be strange if they didn't show up.

Eugene IV quickly managed to squeeze out a smile, stepping forward to greet. “You must be General Fang. What brings you here?”

Fang said coldly, “Eurasia has already informed the Curia that we would send a rescue team here to save Nathan. How is it that you, the Pope, is unaware of this matter? Didn't your people inform you about it?”

Eugene IV chuckled. “Much has been happening lately. I'm busy leading the troops to rescue Mr. Cross, and we've run into a full-scale attack from the vampire army. It's inevitable that some things will slip through the cracks.”

Before Fang arrived, he had already spoken with Colin over the phone. He had a rough idea that Nathan was in trouble, and it was undoubtedly related to the Curia.

Fang was Nathan's discipline and a warmonger that the latter highly valued.

As such, Fang's loyalty to Nathan was unparalleled.

At that moment, he was angry because Nathan was in trouble because of the Curia. Hence, he wasn't in the mood to treat Eugene IV nicely.

He asked coolly, “In that case, you should have no objections to our arrival here to save Chief Cross, right?”

Although Eugene IV was not keen on the idea of Fang coming to rescue Nathan, he didn't dare to oppose it.

With a forced smile, Eugene IV said, “No objections at all. We welcome your rescue team wholeheartedly. I can't wait to find Mr. Cross and ensure his safety.”

Abruptly, he glanced at Hepburn on the side and said in a strange, eerie tone, “Although, I'm afraid some evil creatures may oppose that. They absolutely loathe Mr. Cross to the bone, and they would spare no effort in their attempts to harm him.”

He then turned to Fang. “The vampires have become too audacious, daring to harm Mr. Cross openly. How about we join forces and take out these vampires first before rescuing Mr. Cross?”

Eugene IV had planned well.

If Fang agreed to join forces with the Curia's troops, they would together wage war against the vampires together.

Fang frowned. “All of you, stop arguing. Each of your forces, please make way for our Eurasia North Army to enter Mount Eoncrest to rescue Mr. Cross. After we pass through, you can curse or fight as you please.”

Hepburn immediately said, “I agree to make way. I'm just afraid that some folks with a guilty conscience won't be willing to do the same.”

Upon hearing that, Eugene IV quickly responded, “I agree. Only those with a guilty conscience would dare not make way.”

Soon, the armies of the vampires and the Curia each retreated two kilometers, clearing a path. That allowed the thirty thousand soldiers of the Eurasia North Army to enter Mount Eoncrest and initiate a rescue operation for Nathan.

Unbeknownst to Fang, the Quartet War Pillars started hunting Nathan with a thousand God Warriors at the other end of Mount Eoncrest.

That was happening as Fang led thirty thousand soldiers from North Army into Mount Eoncrest.

For a moment, the primeval forest of Mount Eoncrest was welcoming many unexpected visitors.

Humans, vampires, and Gods were there in search of Nathan.

Some forces were out to save Nathan while others were intent on killing him.
