Nathan, too, furrowed his brow and asked calmly, “What are the conditions?”
Revent replied nonchalantly, “It's quite simple. You will have to offer us a certain amount of vampire cores every year.”
Vampire core?
Everyone at the scene was taken aback.
Revent laughed. “Of course, not just the vampires' cores, but also the blood of you humans. You must provide us, gods, a certain amount of fresh blood every year. We will determine how much you will need to provide.”
The war gods from various countries at the scene were puzzled and worried when they first heard about the request. They wondered where they could find that many vampire cores to offer to the gods.
However, they couldn't sit still anymore when they learned that they would also need to provide substantial quantities of fresh human blood.
They refuse to accept such an inhumane demand.
Leopold spoke up before Nathan had a chance to say anything. “We cannot accept your terms, especially the second one. Asking us to provide you with fresh blood is simply inhumane. We will never agree to your terms.”
Wolfric, who rarely shares Leopold's opinions, chimed in, “Absolutely! And what's the reason behind your demand for fresh blood?”
Revent replied in a languid tone, “I don't mind telling you. The vampires' cores are the finest source of energy for the Divine Realm. As for your blood, it will serve to nourish the livestock of our divine realm. It's as simple as that.”
Nathan recalled that the vampires originated from the Divine Realm.
He stared at Revent. “The livestock you were talking about. It couldn't possibly be the vampires, could it?”
Revent chuckled. “It appears you are well-informed! Indeed, in the Divine Realm, vampires are nothing more than livestock. We've discovered that feeding the vampires human blood accelerates their growth. Once the vampires mature, they are slaughtered, and their cores are extracted to provide us with the energy we need.”
He said coolly, “And what if we refuse?”
Revent sneered, “Refuse? Then you will end up like this cup!”
With that, he clenched his fist, and with a resounding snap, the cup he held shattered into powder.
Everyone present was taken aback by the sudden display.
Revent stood, looking down at Nathan and the others from above. His voice thundered like a storm as he proclaimed, “If you Earthlings refuse to comply with our demands, then we, the Divine Realm, will declare war on Earth, and it will result in bloodshed.”
Wolfric, Leopold, and the rest turned their attention to Nathan.
Slowly rising to his feet, Nathan locked eyes with Revent. In a deep, unwavering voice, he declared, “We, the people of Earth, will never surrender to you. Go back and convey to your God King that if he insists on making an enemy of Earth, there will come a day when I personally step foot in the Divine Realm and take his head. You may leave now.”
