"Lucas Maddox, what exactly are you doing?"
"Taking you down, of course. Elena, you've finally fallen right into my hands!" Lucas Maddox gloated.
Elena kicked him when he wasn't looking.
Thud!
Lucas Maddox crashed to the ground.
His finger pointed at Elena, trembling. "You... you..."
"Mr. Maddox, are you okay?" The men beside him quickly helped him up.
"I'm going to break her legs! I'm going to kill her! I'm going to end her right now!" Lucas Maddox completely lost it.
Viper spoke up. "We're not breaking her legs right now. This isn't the place. Just take her away first. There are too many people around, and we don't need any unexpected trouble."
Lucas Maddox gritted his teeth in hatred, but he had no choice but to listen to Viper.
Without Viper's approval, he couldn't do a thing to Elena.
Viper made his move, striking the back of Elena's head, and she blacked out.
When she finally came to, she found herself tied up inside a drafty warehouse, the wind howling around her.
It was late at night, and the wind was fierce.
This place had to be by the water. Was she near the docks?
As far as she knew, the dockyard was lined with warehouses and shipping containers.
A lot of temporary freight was stored in this specific district.
But this particular warehouse seemed like it had been abandoned for ages; it was a total dump inside.
