"Where are they? Have they left yet?"

"No, they've dug their heels in. Your father and I didn't know what to do, so we had to call you."

Elena and Amanda walked inside.

The old woman and the uncle's family were making themselves right at home. Some were lying on the sofa, while others sat around playing on their phones.

Daniel was trying to reason with them, looking distressed. "Mom, please don't force my hand. Do you really think this is appropriate?"

"I'm not forcing you. This is what you should do as the brother. If you don't agree to handle things today, we're not leaving. The whole family will just live here!" The old woman was being completely unreasonable.

"Live here? Do you not have your own homes?" Elena asked as she walked in.

Hearing Elena's voice, they immediately perked up and sat up straight.

Elena crossed her arms. "That's hilarious. When we buy a house, do we need to make a public announcement? We buy what we want. What does it have to do with you? Did we use your money? What gives you the right to question us? I'm telling you now, get the hell out. You are not welcome here!"

"Hmph! As long as you know that!" The old woman thought she had Elena cornered.
