About half an hour later, Evelyn's subordinate returned.
"Miss, the inspection is complete!"
"Well? It's a knock-off, right?" Evelyn looked ready to enjoy the show.
The man looked somewhat awkward. "Miss Evelyn, it's... it's real."
This made Evelyn's jaw drop.
"What did you say? It's real? You didn't check it wrong, did you?"
"No. I took it to the Lumen Studio counter to verify. This is the certificate of verification they issued. It has their stamp. It is indeed real."
Evelyn snatched the paper and looked at the results on it.
She simply couldn't believe it.
These out-of-print shoes—there were only ten pairs globally!
And Elena had actually found them!
How did she do it?
"Well? Miss Evelyn, are you still saying the shoes I gave you are fake?"
Evelyn looked unconvinced. "The people at Lumen Studio must have made a mistake. I'm going to take them to verify personally!"
Elena shook her head. This young lady really wouldn't give up until the bitter end.
Her subordinate spoke up again. "Miss Evelyn, when... when we were verifying, the head of Lumen Studio, Director Sienna, happened to be there. She verified these shoes personally."
Evelyn was speechless.
So, even the top person in charge at Lumen Studio said they were real. What was left to question?
"Evelyn, in the future, get your facts straight before you come here to harass people!" Dylan said coldly.
Evelyn couldn't save face. She glared daggers at them, then took the shoes and went back.
Once Evelyn left, Dylan reached out and took Elena's hand.
