This time she was covered in wounds. Her opponent must have been far more dangerous than the ones before.
But none of this was Bianca's business, so she didn't pry further.
"Rest up. I'm leaving. I've done my part. Whether you live or die is your own problem now."
Bianca turned to leave.
Elena lifted her hands. They were covered in injuries, and despite the glucose drip giving her a little energy, her body was still screaming in pain.
It looked like she would need to lie in the hospital for a few days.
Just as she was thinking this, Bianca suddenly ran back in.
"There are people searching outside. They don't care that this is a medical center. Are they looking for you? They look like thugs. It's scary!" Bianca said urgently.
"Yes, they're looking for me."
Elena suspected it was Sirius's men.
Given Sirius's cautious nature, he wouldn't give up until he saw her corpse.
"What do we do? They're heading this way. They'll be here any second," Bianca said, panicking.
"I thought you said you weren't going to help me anymore?" Elena asked with a weak smile.
"This isn't the time for jokes! They're here! Hide somewhere, quickly! I'll go out and try to stall them!"
Bianca ran out just as the group of men reached the door.
"Who are you? Why are you barging into my room?" Bianca confronted them.
"Move! Don't block the way!" One of the men shoved Bianca aside.
He offered no explanation.
Security in this border town was non-existent, and local gangs ran rampant.
The clinic staff was used to it. They let them search, knowing that if the men didn't find who they were looking for, they would leave.
