Emily laughed. "Money? That's long gone! spent!"
Slap!
Brian slapped Emily across the face.
"You bitch!" That was his entire life savings.
To marry into a wealthy family and become a son-in-law of high status, he had drained his savings and even taken out loans.
Now, it had all gone down the drain.
"Hold on. This is the Whelan residence. If you want to fight, do it outside," Elena interrupted them.
She couldn't be bothered to watch their drama.
Brian, however, looked at Daniel and the others. "I'm not leaving today. I spent hundreds of thousands on Emily. The Whelan family must reimburse me for that amount. Otherwise, I won't let this go!"
"Sir, what do you mean? Emily spent your money, and you want the Whelan family to compensate you? What kind of logic is that?" Daniel asked.
"That's exactly what I mean. I don't care what your relationship with Emily is. She was part of the Whelan family. You are responsible for her scamming me. The Whelan family is so big; a few hundred thousand is just a drop in the bucket for you. Just pay up!"
"That's outrageous!" Daniel was furious.
"You really have it all figured out, don't you? Emily indeed has no relation to the Whelan family. She scammed you, so go find her. Coming to us is useless. If you're not satisfied, you can file a lawsuit. I'd like to see if a judge would order us to pay," Elena told Brian.
Brian scoffed, "A lawsuit? Can I win against rich people like you? Everyone knows you all protect each other!"
"So, you're trying to extort us? A few hundred thousand isn't much to our family, but we won't clean up the mess for people like you! Since you won't leave on your own, don't blame me for being rude. Security!"
Elena called out, and the guards immediately approached.
"Miss Elena!"
"Throw these two out. I don't want to see them anymore!"
