Having one rebellious Dylan was enough; did she need an Elena too?
If it were an obedient and sensible daughter-in-law, she could accept it.
But Elena didn't put her in her eyes at all.
Mira rolled her eyes and suddenly had an idea.
“Madam, how about this... we...” Mira whispered into Amber's ear.
Amber smiled, thinking this plan was feasible.

Nighttime.
Dylan was alone on the terrace, the wind blowing fiercely.
It was pitch black all around; not a single star in the sky.
After thinking for a long time, he dialed Elena's number.
But after one ring, thinking she might be asleep and not wanting to disturb her, he hung up.
On the other side, Elena saw her phone light up with Dylan's number.
Just as she picked up the phone, the other side hung up.
She couldn't help but wonder.
What was this about?
It was already eleven o'clock; was he not asleep yet?
Elena felt he probably had something on his mind.
So, she tapped her finger and called him back.
“Elena, you haven't slept yet?” Dylan was overjoyed seeing Elena call back.
Elena had always been cold. He had learned about her childhood from Victor Ellington.
So he didn't find it strange. He would slowly warm her heart.
Her calling him back so suddenly did surprise him.
“What's wrong with you?” Elena asked.
Dylan smoked a cigarette and grinned. “Nothing, just missed you. Missed you so much I couldn't sleep.”
“You're sick!” Elena retorted.
“Yes, I am sick. I have a sickness called 'Missing Elena'. Elena, I really want to hug you right now.”
Elena was speechless.
She didn't want to listen to his sweet talk in the middle of the night.
“Alright, go to sleep. Don't you have work tomorrow?” Elena instructed.
