William twisted his hips, acting completely artificial and affected. Michelle looked like she wanted to throw up.
“I can’t take this. What is this garbage? I don’t want to watch anymore!” Michelle was speechless.
After the other members finished their introductions, the group began to dance. It was another cutesy, pandering routine. After they finished, the judges jokingly asked them to teach the "cute moves," bringing the atmosphere to a climax.
Once the recording ended, Elena and Michelle’s work was done.
Backstage, Melissa came personally to see her son. Sending William to stardom was the Sterling family’s only goal now. They hoped he would become the next top idol and help the family live the good life again.
“Son, good job. You’re definitely going to be famous. Your performance just now was amazing!”
“Mom, I think so too. After this episode airs, my popularity is going to explode!” William felt good about himself.
“Once you debut and become a top star, our family’s life will be easy.”
“Mom, I want some water.”
“Okay, I’ll get you some!”
As Melissa went to find water, she ran into Elena, who was packing up to leave.
“Elena, what are you doing here?” Melissa asked sharply.
“None of your business.”
“Oh, I know. You must be doing grunt work here! Looks like the Sinclair family isn't treating you that well if you’ve fallen this low!”
She knew Lady Amber disliked her—she wasn't oblivious. It was just her own uselessness in failing to snag Dylan. Otherwise, it wouldn't be Elena standing there; it would be her daughter, Emily.
Elena didn’t want to talk to her. But with someone arrogant like Melissa, the more you ignored her, the more she felt you were looking down on her.
“Stop! Did I say you could go? You little tramp!” Melissa cursed.
“Elena, who is she?” Michelle asked, confused and a little scared. The woman looked fierce.
