Rebirth of the Phoenix Princess novel Chapter 747

In the past few days, Yun Shang had been worried since something happened in Prince Rui's mansion. Now that the big stone that had been hanging in her heart was finally relieved, Yun Shang had a good sleep.

The second morning, as soon as she woke up and before she opened her eyes, she heard the sound of the carriage's wheels, and her body was a little bumpy. Yun Shang frowned, and after a long time, she realized that she might be on the road. She was shocked and suddenly opened her eyes. She saw Luo Qingyan staring at her blankly.

Yun Shang was surprised and relieved. She had thought that Luo Qingyan would send her somewhere else instead of Cangnan.

Yun Shang looked up at the carriage in front of her. It was wider than her usual one and she was covered with a thick brocade quilt and a tiger skin on the top. Luo Qingyan was sitting next to her, holding a book in his hand and looking at her with burning eyes.

"Are you awake? Are you hungry? " Luo Qingyan put down the book, held Yun Shang in his arms and asked softly.

Yun Shang nodded slightly, "Where are we now?"

Luo Qingyan smiled and said, "We're out of the Jin city. We have to make a day's journey today. We'll get to the Jin An town before night." Luo Qingyan answered Yun Shang's question in a low voice. Then he took the teapot down from the small furnace in front of him, poured a bowl of ginger soup and handed it to Yun Shang. "Have some ginger soup first. You got wet in the rain yesterday, and your body is a little hot."

Yun Shang was still in a daze, so she nodded, took the ginger soup and drank it up.

Luo Qingyan smiled, "Good girl." Then he took the empty bowl and put it aside. He took out a plate of smanthus cakes from a wood grid on the wall of the carriage and put it on the small table nearby. He took a small piece and put it to Yun Shang's mouth, "This was made by the imperial chef in the Palace this morning. Have a try and see if it tastes good."

Yun Shang bit it from Luo Qingyan's hand and nodded, "Yummy!"

After eating two osmanthus cakes, Yun Shang finally came to her senses and totally woke up. She lifted the curtain and looked out. There were farmland on all sides, and mountains in the distance. The carriage was driving on the official road, and she couldn't see what place it was.

"Aren't we supposed to arrive at Cangnan city as soon as possible? It will take more than ten days to take a carriage, right? " asked Yun Shang turning around and frowning at Luo Qingyan.

Luo Qingyan also took a bite of a plum blossom cake. It was a little too sweet. Luo Qingyan frowned slightly, but took a second bite before he replied softly, "It doesn't matter. We're not in a hurry."

Yun Shang was stunned. The army from the State of Yelang was on the way, but he said he was not in a hurry?! She knew clearly that he was worried about her health and didn't want her to ride a horse.

"Where is Qian Zhuo?" Yun Shang asked softly. Luo Qingyan smiled, "I asked her to go first and prepare a room in the Jin An town."

If the seventh prince wanted to be an emperor, they must break the rumor that he was weak and incompetent. The best way was to make a military achievement.

All of a sudden, Yun Shang remembered what Xia Huanyu used to say, "Have you ever thought that many things might not be the way as you have seen?"

Might not be the way as she had seen? What did he mean? Did he mean Lady Shu? Or the seventh prince?

In Yun Shang's impression, since the death of the Empress Hua, Xia Huanyu had been living in the imperial household. He should not be a person who was obsessed with beauty. Although he seemed to dote on Lady Shu, there was no love in his eyes every time he mentioned her. Lady Shu used to be a maid of the Empress. Even though Yun Shang hadn't seen it in person, she could imagine that the Empress would definitely object it when Xia Huanyu wanted to select Lady Shu as his concubine not long after Su Ruji became the the Empress, when she was still new and arrogant.
