Chapter 1253: 307: Pregnant!
Seeing all of this, the Wu Family parents were momentarily stunned and couldn’t understand what was going on.
“Xiaoxi, Xiaoxi, are you alright?” Chen Qian looked nervously at Shangguan Xi.
“It hurts…” Shangguan Xi could only feel her stomach hurting more and more. It was an unfamiliar pain, and large beads of sweat started pouring down her face. Her complexion was as white as a sheet of paper.
Wu Zhihao shouted, “Quick! Chen Jun, call 120 immediately! Aunt Liu! Aunt Liu!”
Aunt Liu scrambled upstairs, flustered. “Alright! I’ll go right away!”
Wu Chenjun carried Shangguan Xi and rushed downstairs.
Chen Qian followed them down hurriedly.
Wu Zhihao stayed upstairs, glaring at Mrs. Wu angrily and said, “Mom! What on earth are you trying to do? Can’t you address any issue calmly? Why did you have to resort to violence? If anything happens to Xiaoxi today, how do you expect me to face the world after this?”
This was truly exasperating!
Wu Zhihao never expected Mrs. Wu to actually lash out at Shangguan Xi.
Mrs. Wu was also furious, her whole body trembling. She felt that Shangguan Xi was doing this deliberately.
Cao Xiaomei had merely given Shangguan Xi a light shove and yet she’d fallen to the ground. Did she have no bones at all? Was she really that fragile?
“We didn’t lay a hand on her! She came out of nowhere and splashed bird’s nest all over Xiaomei’s face without any sense of right or wrong! She bullied someone close to me, and as her grandmother, am I not even allowed to say a word about it?”
Wu Zhihao retorted, “Impossible! Xiaoxi isn’t an unreasonable child! You must have done something to provoke her!”
Wu Zhihao knew Shangguan Xi too well. She was a considerate and kind girl who would never act out without reason. If she did take action, it must have been because she was pushed to her limit!
Mrs. Wu looked at Wu Zhihao incredulously and shouted angrily, “Ungrateful child! You ungrateful thing! I am your mother! Yet you choose to believe an outsider over me!”
“It’s not that I don’t believe you! It’s that I know Xiaoxi too well! Mom, I don’t care— you must apologize to Xiaoxi for this!”
“What?” Upon hearing this, Mrs. Wu’s eyes widened with astonishment, larger than copper bells. “You want me to apologize to the younger generation?”
She was already ninety-four years old!
And now her son was pointing fingers at her and scolding her! He even wanted her to apologize to a little girl!
Absurd!
