At the most crucial second, Zhurong had rushed to the scene in time, using the power of raging flames to finally make Antigonus retreat.
It could be said that the battle had ended in complete victory on Chester's end.
Upon winning the battle, Chester still did not take things lightly. He had the Elysium Gate pupils tighten the security overall before standing guard with Dax, Zhu Bajie, and the rest to wait for the Sea Dragon Palace's return.
It had been a few days, and there had been no sound from the Sea Dragon Palace. Thus, Chester could only return to the Hidden Hero Sect with the others for the time being.
Upon finding out that Chester and his friends had defeated the Sea Dragon Palace, the Hidden Hero Sect was nothing but joyous. Thus, Debra had specially prepared a feast of delicious food with plans to reward everyone.
Ambrose was also overjoyed and could not stop pouring drinks for Chester and the rest at the table.
As Ambrose's girlfriend, Heather was also at the table.
Just then, Ambrose raised his glass as he glanced around and smiled. "Uncle Chester, Uncle Dax, Uncle Zhu Bajie, Senior Divine Famer… Thanks to you, the Elysium Gate was able to avoid great tragedy. Let me, Ambrose Darby, make a toast in respect and deep appreciation for all of you."
As the words rang through the air, he downed the contents of his glass.
"Haha!"
Dax let out a loud laugh, nodding in approval.
"You've grown up to be just like your old man, Ambrose, but you still are the Sect Master of the Elysium Gate at the end of the day, so it's nothing but right for you to drink."
As the words rang through the air, Zhu Bajie could not help but marvel as well.
"I can't believe how quickly time has passed. When I first met Darryl at the North Moana Palace, he was still a scruffy young man. Now, his son's all grown up."
As he spoke, Zhu Bajie had an emotional expression.
Chester could not help but laugh. "Brother Zhu Bajie seems envious of Darryl having such a good son. I say he finds himself a nice lady and has a child to carry on his name as well."
Next to him, Dax nodded vigorously.
Zhu Bajie took a sip of his wine, laughing out loud. "Just one child? I'd want at least ten…"
Haha!
Chester and Dax could not help but laugh out loud as well, holding their thumbs up in agreement.
"You're the man, Brother Zhu Bajie."
"I'm so sorry."
Cody took a deep breath, mumbling to himself as he retrieved a small dagger and a vial before walking over, ready to take the child's blood.
However, upon seeing the child's peaceful, innocent face, Cody could not find it in himself to do the deed.
More importantly, the child was bound to start crying out of pain if his skin were cut. It would surely draw attention.
'Fine, hair it is.'
Upon giving it some thought, Cody gave up on trying to take the baby's blood. He shaved off some of the baby's lanugo hair before stowing it away carefully.
Upon doing so, Cody began to search for Ambrose's belongings in the room. After all, the baby's hair alone was not enough to do a match. He needed something from Ambrose as well.
…
Just then, over at the main hall.
Upon wining and dining the entire night, everyone, including Chester, Zhu Bajie, and the rest, had had quite a bit to drink. However, they did not leave to rest, and instead, remained at the table and chattered the night away.
