Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 5230

Just then, a few of the True Flame Sect pupils called out to Adam.

"At your service, Alliance Master."

The crowd hesitated for a brief second before kneeling to bow to Adam.

"Alliance Master."

"At your service, Alliance Master."

Like Martin, none of the sect pupils had guessed that Adam would have won the duel. However, upon seeing that the man was so powerful, it was only fair that he became Alliance Master.

Ho ho…

At the sight, a pleased smile appeared on Adam's face as he waved his hands good-naturedly.

"You're all too kind. We're only forming this alliance so we can better explore this place. This isn't a real sect alliance. I'm more than happy with you just calling me Sect Master Adam."

As the words rang through the air, Adam looked around, saying in a serious tone, "I'm sure everyone must be tired from the duel earlier. Let's all get some rest, then start looking around."

"Yes…"

Over on another end, in the cramped attic.

After half an hour of energy transferring, Lumi's pale face regained a fair amount of color.

Whew!

Darryl took a deep breath as he moved his hands away from Lumi's body, moving to the side to rest. Despite not losing a great deal of energy from the transfer, he was still mildly fatigued.

"You…"

Just as he had rested briefly, he sensed a murderous intent around him. Darryl whipped his head around and saw a now-conscious Lumi glowering at him.

Crap!

Darryl got a fright as his chest twisted in mild frustration. He had taken the black cloth covering his face off during the energy transfer, and had forgotten to put it back on when resting.

"Darryl Darby!"

Just as Darryl pondered what to do, Lumi bit her lip as she spat coldly, "Why are you here? You…"

As she spoke, a thought seemed to come to her.

He had tainted her purity. How was she going to face anyone in the future?

'F*ck me!'

Darryl did not panic in the slightest in the face of the blade, ducking to the side with ease as he called out, "You're not being very fair here."

Lumi could hardly be bothered to waste more words, gripping her long sword and piercing it in Darryl's direction repeatedly. She had not healed completely yet, so she did not move too fast, but it was still an annoying hindrance to Darryl. Ultimately, he had no choice but to jump out of the attic.

Lumi, crazed with hatred, chased behind him with her long sword still gripped tightly.

All at once, a fierce chase broke out between the both of them.

Huh?

Upon running for a few minutes, Darryl saw a stonetree forest before him.

In the stonetree forest were thousands and thousands of stone pillars. Each one of them was over ten meters tall. They appeared to be arranged haphazardly, but there was something more to them upon closer inspection.

A formation?

Darryl looked at it briefly, and he could immediately tell that it was a gigantic illusion formation. When Darryl and Yvonne looked around Zilong's tomb years ago, many elites were also there. There, they ran into an illusion formation made of wooden pillars.
