The more Darryl acted, the more suspicious Kendra became.
'That's right. These beasts have been guarding here for a long time. They're the ones who know if there's any hidden treasure…'
With that thought in mind, the excitement returned to Kendra's exquisite face. She said, "Go ahead and ask. I'll wait for you outside."
Then, she waited outside of the main hall.
Darryl was dumbfounded by Kendra. 'What the hell? That woman is so annoying. Why do you need to wait for me, and why aren't you leaving when you finally escaped danger?'
Darryl was troubled because he could not leave if Kendra did not go. Although Kendra had already sworn to it, he was unsure if she would keep the end of the bargain.
"Roar!"
Just then, the Garan leader roared. "Royal Master, this woman seems like a bad person. She's been annoying you. Should I kill her?"
Darryl thought for a while and shook his head, "There's no need for that."
Coincidentally, Kendra got shocked after hearing a roar from the inside. She asked while carefully taking a peek into the main hall, "Darryl, what happened?"
Suddenly, an idea popped into Darryl's head. He waved and let the nearby Garans surround him. Then, he acted like he was terrified and screamed loudly, "Hey, we're friends! You can't eat me, you can't eat me…"
Finally, he pretended to fall down to the ground.
Since Kendra refused to leave, Darryl could only scare her once more.
'Oh no!'
Her vision was blocked by the Garans, so she could not see what was happening. When she heard Darryl screaming and saw him fall to the ground, her instinct told her that Darryl was being eaten by the Garans. Her body shivered in fear, and her legs were wobbly.
'These beasts are so temperamental. Didn't they communicate very well with Darryl earlier? Why did they suddenly decide to eat him?'
Kendra's mind had many unanswered questions, but she did not dare to stay a minute longer. She fled far away with a tap on the ground with the tip of her feet.
Having known that, Darryl was very excited. He said, "Alright, continue guarding the place. I'll be right back."
Then, he strode out of the main hall to head toward the largest palace.
