"Who's there?"
Sir Moonshine instantly walked out of the room cautiously upon hearing the disturbance.
At the same time, Keele and Daisy opened their doors as well.
"It can't be a patient, can it?" Daisy asked.
"It's late, Junior Sister. Who would come looking for a doctor at this hour?" Keele said, striding quickly to the main entrance. He saw Sir Moonshine at the door. He stood there frozen with a look of shock on his face.
Keele was also astonished by what he discovered at his feet.
Well…
"Master, Junior Brother! What's going on?" Daisy asked curiously, walking outward as well. She stopped in shock too.
Was that Sulfur Weed? There was so much of it too.
Daisy could see plainly under the moonlight that seven or eight sulfur weeds were outside the entrance, glistening with dew and possessing a golden shine.
"Who is it?"
The next second, Keele snapped to his senses. He glanced around him and shouted, "Who put those Sulfur Weeds here? Show yourself now."
Yet, all that he got in response was silence all around him.
Keele was about to shout again when Sir Moonshine waved his hands, a meaningful look on his face as he said, "Don't shout. Whoever put the Sulfur Weeds there probably doesn't want to show themselves. I think they're asking for us to save the guy in that house."
Sir Moonshine's expression was calm as he spoke, but his chest pounded in shock. Who was the guy unconscious in the house? Someone had sent over so many Sulfur Weeds on his behalf! Sulfur Weeds were considered treasures of the world—he had wandered the world for many years and had yet to see a single one.
Nevertheless, whoever had arrived had provided so many.
It was truly unbelievable.
Amidst his shock, Sir Moonshine turned to address Keele and Daisy hastily. "Bring the Sulfur Weeds in now. Also, don't tell anyone about this. Do you understand?"
Sir Moonshine understood perfectly what that meant. Someone capable of collecting so many Sulfur Weeds was not one to be messed with, and that was best kept a secret.
'Where is this? Did they save me?'
A few seconds later, Darryl stared at Sir Moonshine. "And you are—"
"I am Sir Moonshine!" Sir Moonshine said with a smile. "Just your regular villager with a bit of medical knowledge. My pupils and I saw you unconscious in the forest and brought you back."
So that was what happened.
At those remarks, recognition dawned on Darryl's face, and he expressed his gratitude by saying, "I am very glad you came to my rescue." Darryl could feel the needles removed from his back as he talked. There was no longer any discomfort; he just felt weak.
Sir Moonshine waved a hand, his expression humble. "You're far too kind. I would not have been able to save you all on my own! You chanced upon a miracle."
Darryl stopped short. 'If you had not saved me…'
Just then, Daisy stepped forward, unable to hide the passion on her face. "You've finally woken up! Do you know how terrifying you looked when we found you? Your face was white as a sheet. Keele and I brought you back.
"When we returned, Master said that you would need Sulfur Weeds to get better, and nothing else would work. He even spent an entire day looking for them, but we didn't find any."
