"Let you go?"
As he scoffed, the corners of Yarl's mouth curled into a smile. "I killed my uncle to obtain your fiend soul. There is no turning back for me—do you think I will let you go? Also, combining your fiend soul with mine will significantly increase my power. Nobody on the Nine Mainland can stop me after this.
"Give it up, Fiend Martyr Morticia."
As the final phrase reverberated through the air, Yarl walked forward gently, his hand on the top of Morticia's head.
Buzz!
Morticia's form trembled violently. She could feel the fiend soul energy in her body being fiercely dragged upward for Yarl to consume slowly.
"Let go of me, you b*stard, let me go!"
Morticia was furious and terrified at the time.
She would no longer be a Fiend Martyr without her fiend soul. Not only would she lose her enormous strength, but the baby in her womb would perish as well.
Yarl, however, did not seem to hear her, continuing to absorb the energy crazily.
Whew…
Morticia emitted a red glow as the fiend soul energy was sucked out. A gory crimson ball of light began to float outward, holding an infinite amount of energy.
It was Morticia's fiend soul.
"You—"
Morticia's exquisite features were tinged with rage and helplessness once the fiend soul was forced out. "This will not end well for you, you shameless moron."
Thump!
The cabin door crashed open just as Yarl was about to control the fiend soul successfully. It was quickly followed by Jarian running in with a severely worried expression, calling out, "Bad news, Sir, horrible news..."
"Do you want to die?"
Yarl almost went blind with rage as he shouted, "What did I say? No one's allowed to come into the room without my permission!"
Yarl kicked Jarian furiously. "Get out, get out this instant."
Motherf*cker! He was only one step away. He had to start over again.
Yarl came to a halt when he saw what awaited him on the bow deck. A row of nearly ten ships could be seen in the distance in the ocean. Every vessel had 50 soldiers, and they had surrounded the Blanc clan's boat. Those men wore blue long-sleeved shirts that appeared to have been meant for swimming, and they wielded long knives.
Four large, stocky guys sat atop the leading ship. Despite their size, they appeared aloof.
The four men were screaming at the top of their lungs at the time.
"Come on! Tell your captain to show himself."
"Doesn't he know that this is Ice Fire Island territory? How dare he sneak into our area?"
"Look at him, trying to be sneaky. I think he came here to steal the Ice Marrow Fish."
"That's possible too."
If one paid attention, the four men continued to shout among themselves in arrogant tones, without making any sense at all.
Indeed, the four men were the Scope brothers, as well as their master Eric Scope and junior sister Stella Scope, all of whom Darryl had met before.
Stella had scoured the ends of the earth for Darryl a few years earlier, when the Nine Mainland was rife with chaos and tragedy, intending to invite him to return to the Ice Fire Island to get away from it all. However, she eventually gave up and returned to Fire Ice Island with the Scope brothers.
