Suddenly, an Elixir Sect disciple shouted from outside the room, "Hey, what's going on in there? What are you all shouting in the middle of the night?"
Yolanda's shriek had alerted the disciples of the Elixir Sect who were resting in other rooms.
Sergio rushed over and said behind the door, "It's nothing. There was a rat and Yolanda got scared. So sorry for disturbing all of you."
'If anyone from the Elixir Sect sees me like this, I'd be embarrassed,' he thought.
Hearing Sergio's answer, the disciple of the Elixir Sect did not ask any more questions and left.
Hearing the footsteps getting further away, Sergio felt relieved as his face became distorted from the torment of the itch. 'What should I do? The itch on my back is getting worse. This is killing me.'
Then, Yolanda walked over out of curiosity and observed Sergio's back closely. She was shocked and saw that Sergio's back was covered in scratches. It was red and it looked horrible.
She stopped complaining and asked worriedly, "Sergio, were you stung by a poisonous insect?"
"I don't know," Sergio pouted and answered, almost tearing up. 'This feels like sh*t!'
Then, Darryl thought it was about time and sat up. "There's a well outside the monastery. The water from the well is cooling. The itch should stop if you take a bath in there for a while."
'Though this guy is despicable, he also gave me a solution. I shall let him go,' he thought.
Sergio's eyes flickered as he heard what Darryl said. He was slightly hesitant, but his back was so itchy. Finally, he left the room, found the well outside the monastery, and jumped in.
A few minutes later, he came back, drenched, but he looked so much better. However, he looked miserable.
When Yolanda saw Sergio, she burst out laughing. She then set up a bonfire to dry Sergio's clothes. After all the fuss with Sergio, no one was sleepy anymore. In that instance, besides the cracking sound of the bonfire, the room was silent.
Suddenly, Yolanda's stomach growled.
That night, the sky was rather spectacular with its bright moon. Soon, they arrived at the forest. From afar, they could see a buck grazing.
Feeling confident, Sergio chuckled at Yolanda. "Watch how I hunt this buck down."
As he spoke, he broke a tree branch and made a simple bow and arrow. At that point in time, he felt carefree. 'Throughout the day, Yolanda has been focused on that guy. It's finally my turn to show off my skills.'
Hearing that, Yolanda nodded and her eyes looked at him expectedly while Darryl snickered silently.
'I'm sure Sergio has never lived in the wild. How could he catch a buck with just a simple bow and arrow?' Darryl thought.
After making the bow and arrow, Sergio did not say a word. He quietly approached the buck, pulled the bow, and shot the arrow.
However, to his surprise, the buck was too alert and before Sergio shot his arrow, it turned and ran.
