General Grunt felt awkward and nodded. "Uh… Good."
"Where did you go?" Princess Dorothy was curious.
General Grunt thought for a moment and made up an excuse. "I went to ask whether there's a place nearby with a good environment that we can go to."
Princess Dorothy put on a smile. "That's so thoughtful of you. Did you find it?"
General Grunt grinned and said, "Yes. It's just a few miles away!"
He spoke with a serious look on his face, but deep down, he was flustered. He lied so Princess Dorothy would not be suspicious of him.
Princess Dorothy was delighted and clapped her hands. "That's great! When we're there, we can build our little wooden hut. No. Let's build a beautiful tower…"
As she said, she excitedly held General Grunt's hand and walked out of the room. Just as she walked out of the room, General Grunt suddenly lifted his hand and pointed on Princess Dorothy's back, sealing the power of her fairy soul.
She had been walking in front of him and did not expect him to do that to her. Her body shook and froze. At that moment, she was left shocked and looked at General Grunt. "What did you do to me?"
General Grunt sighed and he felt too guilty to look at Princess Dorothy. "Princess, I'm sorry. I was forced to do that. You're of a higher status and I'm just a little Commander. Though His Majesty favors me, I'm still not a good match for you. I didn't know my place when writing you love poems. Please, just treat me like a clown and forget about it."
His heart ached as he spoke. That was not what he wanted but he would just be digging his own grave if he continued following the Princess.
"Are you crazy?" Princess Dorothy trembled and she felt nervous. "What are you talking about? Don't you like me? We're already together, so why did you do that?"
To him, what mattered most was finding Princess Dorothy, and the process was not important.
"Thank you, Master!" General Grunt was utterly grateful, and secretly, he was relieved too. He was lucky that Master did not ask him any details. Otherwise, he would not know how to answer.
