Skylar looked back at the secret room but did not respond to her. Then, he walked quickly to the front hall, with Kendall following behind with a face full of doubt.

Soon, at the front hall, Skylar asked, "Where's Debra?"

"She's in her room!" responded Debra quickly. "I've arranged for some disciples to guard outside her door. Her acupoint had also been sealed, so it would be impossible for her to escape."

Skylar nodded and tried to squash the sorrow in his heart. "Debra has a pure Yin body, which is exactly what His Excellency Archfiend needs to recreate his body," he whispered.

'What?' A jolt went through Kendall. She was momentarily stunned. "Did you promise to give her up? But... she's the woman of your dreams!"

Skylar smiled bitterly; he was perplexed as hell. "I indeed like her, but what can I do? It's not like I can disobey His Excellency Archfiend's orders."

He was in a pickle. He did not want to give Debra up to Archfiend Antigonus, but he could not let her go either because she had already found out about his plan. She would definitely expose his plans once she returned to the Carter family. There would be endless trouble for him then.

After all, it would take another six days and six nights before Archfiend Antigonus would be released from the Devil Sealed mirror. All his previous efforts would be in vain should anything go wrong within those six days.

Seeing the anxiety on Skylar's face, Kendall could not help but say, "Sect Master, you don't have to worry too much. I have an idea that can save Debra's life and also give His Excellency Archfiend what he wants."

Seeing Skylar's hesitation, Kendall said, "Sect Master, that is the only way to do both things. Even though you had not wanted to imprison Debra, it is better than giving her to His Excellency Archfiend."

That strengthened Skylar's resolve. He nodded and said, "Okay, we'll do as you say. I'll go find a replacement for Debra then."

"Yes, Sect Master!" Kendall said as she quickly walked out of the front hall.

Skylar took a deep breath and went straight to the room where they kept Debra captive.
