Kendall took a deep breath, and her face remained impassive. "Envoy Wilson sent me. I have something to report to Her Majesty. This is Envoy Wilson's token," she said calmly while showing them the ghost token.
She was very nervous because it was the first time she had gone to the Ghost World, but she reminded herself that she had Skylar's backing and the ghost token in her hand. She instantly felt a little more confident.
'Ghost token?' The soldiers became courteous when they saw the token. Everyone in the Ghost World knew that the late King of the Dead had made Chester his envoy. Even though he had retired from that position, he and the reigning King of the Dead were good friends, so the soldiers did not dare to offend him.
"Ah, so you were sent by Envoy Wilson. Sorry if we offended you," the leader said while admiring her slim waist, long legs, and flawless face. Then he gestured to the path—a signal for her to go forward—and said, "Her Majesty is in the main hall. Please allow me to lead the way."
"There's no need for that. I can go by myself. You may continue with your patrol," Kendall said with a faint smile. After all, she was not there to visit the King of the Dead. She was there to look for the whereabouts of Archfiend Antigonus.
The soldier did not suspect anything at all. He nodded and led her into the city. She was greeted with a spacious street and endless buildings when she entered the Underworld. She was extremely shocked; she did not expect the city to be so large. However, the people on the street were wandering spirits, all of them pale and lifeless.
After a while, she walked to a secluded corner and said softly, "Sect Master, I'm in."
"Sect Master, are you sure about this?" she asked excitedly as soon as she met up with Skylar and Debra.
Skylar nodded and said, "Yes, if my sense is correct, then he should be in the depths of the Underworld." He did not mention Archfiend Antigonus' name because Debra was there.
"Skylar, who are you looking for that requires you to sneak into the Ghost World?" Debra asked curiously, who had been silent up till then. Although she felt dead inside, those two people's behavior was so strange that she was interested in what they were doing.
