Darryl just smiled at her, not taking her words to heart.
The next second, he turned to Agatha and said courteously, "Your Excellency, I have explained everything to you, and we all know that it was a misunderstanding. I trust that I can go now?"
Debra and Jewel must be worried sick about him.
Agatha smiled faintly and said, "There's no need to rush. Don't you want to know more about the Hidden Hero Sect?"
Darryl was taken aback. "Only if you're willing to tell me," he said with a smile. He had to admit that he was a little curious about the sect's origin. After all, it was impossible to find a sect in the entire Nine Mainland where the sect master and all the elders were close to the Elevation level.
Agatha nodded and said, "The Hidden Hero Sect was established 13,000 years ago…"
For the next ten minutes, Agatha told him everything about the Hidden Hero Sect.
'What? The founder was a subordinate of the Yellow Emperor? And the famous emperor died in the hands of the Godly Region?' Darryl's brain began to buzz as it slowly went blank.
"That can't be right. The history books say that the Yellow Emperor died in his sleep, and—' However, he was interrupted by Agatha before he could finish his sentence.
"Silence!" Agatha shouted.
Veron stomped her feet and said no more.
Darryl was taken aback by her invitation. He smiled and shook his head. "Thank you, but after being away from the Nine Mainland for three years, I realized that the most important thing for me now is to live out the rest of my life peacefully with my family. Thus, I have no interest in fighting another war."
His calm expression belied all the mixed feelings in his heart. He was tired of all the bullsh*t in the world of cultivators.
