Darryl walked forward to him and flashed him a smile. "Dude, you should choose something you're good at the next time you want to woo someone. Didn't I say that the jade fan is fake? It's a good thing the owner is kind enough to refund your money. You don't need to thank me. Just make sure you don't make the same mistake again."
"Why yo—" Skylar was about to explode in anger. He forced a smile and said between gritted teeth, "Fine, I've learned my lesson. We'll meet again someday."
Then, he smiled at Debra and said, "Miss Debra, till the next time."
Skylar glared at Darryl and left the store.
The crowd began to disperse. The more curious ones stayed and stared at Darryl.
"Is he Darryl, Elysium Gate's former sect master?"
"I didn't take him for a person who's knowledgeable about antiques."
All the onlookers were speechless. Did the famous antique master just call Darryl senior brother? They were utterly dumbfounded, especially those who thought that Darryl had only gotten lucky. It looked like he knew a thing or two after all.
Darryl chatted with Simon and then left the antique street. It was time for dinner, and they did not want to make Yvette and the others wait for them. On the way back, they laughed, talked, and admired the night scenery of the city together. Being the largest and most prosperous city in the Gaia Continent, the night scenery in the Mid City was to die for.
"Darryl?" An icy voice called behind them, causing Darryl and Debra to look back in unison. What they saw stunned them.
