Darryl chuckled. "Mind your words. I’ve already controlled my energy in that strike. If I hadn't, you'd have collapsed to the ground by now and you wouldn't even be able to talk to me now."
Veron turned red in the face and started trembling. "You b*stard. I swear I'll kill you."
Then, her body that was light as a feather, charged towards Darryl with enormous energy. Darryl shook his head at her as she moved towards him and he went full force as he stretched out his palm.
Boom!
Their palms collided, causing a deep trembling sound. Veron staggered a few steps back while her body trembled and her face turned pale. Darryl decided to stop being merciful towards Veron. She would not be able to defeat the strike with her palm!
"You…" Veron started to feel tightness in her chest. She stabilized hearself while she looked at Darryl with terror, wrath, and disbelief!
'How… How could that be!' she thought.
In the blink of an eye, Darryl became so much more powerful. Had he not used his full strength?
Meanwhile, Rophe and the other pirates had been watching from nearby and were stunned. Was that the end of the fight? What about what happened previously?
Then, Darryl smiled and looked at Veron. "Didn’t I tell you you can’t fight me? It’s getting late. I’m done with you. We made a bet just now. If you lose, I can do anything I want to you. You better keep your word!"
Veron bit her lips as she had mixed feelings of frustration and wrath. "What do you want?"
After taking a few steps, she turned and glared at Darryl. "I’ll remember you. I’ll repay you tenfold for how you've humiliated me today."
Darryl smiled at the threat and was not bothered by it at all.
…
Meanwhile, Chester and Dax were chatting over tea in the main hall.
"Chester, Darryl got someone to deliver the message that he was going to Donghai City to pay respects to his late mother, but it’s been hours. Why isn’t he back yet? Do you think something happened to him?" Dax asked, worried as he took a big gulp of his tea.
