Darryl breathed a long sigh and said to Rogart, "Alright. Now that the banquet is almost over, I won't be staying around any longer. If something happens in the future, just send someone to the Carter family to ask for my opinion."
With that, he strode out of the room with Jewel.
He thought about bringing everyone from the Green Dragon clan to the Carter family mansion, but that would definitely alert everyone in the Nine Mainland. Darryl chose to lay low and let the Green Dragon clan remain in the Heavenly Alliance. After all, Rogart knew of Darryl's identity and he no longer dared to harm the Green Dragon clan.
On the way back to the banquet, Jewel asked curiously, "Mister Darryl, are you really the Nine Heaven Sage? What kind of a status is that? That's so amazing. The arrogant Rogart became as timid as a mouse when he saw you."
Jewel was used to addressing Darryl as Mister Darryl since they got acquainted.
Darryl laughed out loud when he heard how Jewel described Rogart.
"The Nine Heaven Sage is only second to the Nine Heaven Emperor. Of course, I'm amazing," he replied.
Then, Darryl began to fill Jewel in on the details of how he became the Nine Heaven Sage. When he was done, he said solemnly to Jewel, "Keep this to yourself. Don't repeat this to Debra and Chester for now, alright?"
"Why? Don't you trust Chester and the others?" Jewel looked puzzled.
Darryl shook his head with a solemn look on his face. "I do trust Chester and the others, but there are way too many people in the Carter family and news travels like wildfire. My identity is rather special and I don't want it to be exposed so quickly."
Still confused, Jewel nodded nonetheless.
Soon, they were back at the banquet. From a distance, Darryl could see Debra sitting on her seat and darting her head around to check out the surroundings. She looked worried.
Darryl had been away for so long and she had no idea what could have happened to him, so of course, she was worried.
Debra did not bother Darryl as he would not say much anyways. Having known each other for so many years, Debra trusted Darryl unconditionally. She knew he must have a reason for doing so.
Darryl, Debra, and Jewel left the Heavenly Alliance Altar together. They were talking and laughing along the journey.
Darryl had just returned to the Nine Mainland and he had a lot to do, but after being separated from Debra and Jewel for so long, he took the opportunity to relax.
After traveling and having fun for a few hours, they spotted a tavern not far ahead. There were a lot of guests in the tavern and almost all of them had attended the Heavenly Alliance banquet.
"Mister Darryl, there's a tavern up there," Jewel exclaimed, becoming excited.
She was tired and thirsty after walking for a few hours.
