'How could this be?' Darryl was dumbfounded.

He stared at Jewel in surprise. "Jewel, what's the matter? Didn't Zhang Jue kill you back then? Also, why do you have the aura of a dragon in your body?"

Jewel let out a long sigh and slowly explained the situation to Darryl. "Mister Darryl, I wasn’t dead back then. Diaochan saved me. She put my soul into the dragon egg and later, I was born as a dragon. Did you know that I became your dragon enchanted beast as soon as I was out from the shell? I thought to myself that I would grow up quickly, and when I have the ability to transform into a human form, I will be able to communicate with you. When the time comes, you will know that I am Jewel.

"But later on, you were drawn into the chaotic vortex..."

Jewel could not hold herself together at that point in time. She hugged Darryl tightly and began sobbing. "Mister Darryl, do you know that through the soul contract, I sensed that you were alive. I was very happy, but at the same time, I was scared that you might not return..."

Since transforming into a human form, Jewel missed Darryl dearly and she was looking forward to reuniting with him. Her dreams had finally come true and her longing had brought her to tears.

He held Jewel tightly as he talked to her, almost fearing he would never see her again if he let her go. Among all of Darryl’s confidantes, Jewel was the most special. She was like a sister to him.

At that instance, Jewel had stopped talking and merely snuggled up in Darryl's arms, feeling the familiar warmth.

After a long time, Jewel suddenly thought of something. "How did you get here?"

While talking, Jewel began to peer outside, growing nervous. They were at the Heavenly Alliance Altar and although Darryl was powerful, he was no match for the Heavenly Alliance.

Jewel instantly became nervous. She had never felt threatened by Grunt, but since the Green Dragon Clan surrendered to Rogart, they were forced to take his special pill which suppressed their Green Dragon energy. Jewel had also taken the pill and was weak.

However, Darryl frowned after cursing under his breath. 'Idiot!'

Then, he patted Jewel's shoulder, signaling her not to panic. In the next second, Darryl walked to the side and sat on a chair, seemingly relaxed and calm.

Grunt was infuriated to see Darryl’s carefree attitude as he shouted, "Are you tired of living?”

‘Darryl is so arrogant! He doesn’t feel sorry for breaking into the altar and trying to show off in front of me. He has no f*cking respect for me and I’m not gonna take this sh*t from him!’ Grunt thought as he drew his long sword.
