Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 3633

Darryl sighed internally when he saw what was happening. They were all doomed as Peacock Lilibet and Colori Phoenix were captured.

"Garuda, you scum! Don't you know the consequences for deceiving Colori Phoenix and me? Release us now!" Peacock Lilibet growled. Her body trembled, and the fire in her eyes was apparent.

Garuda's position was far inferior to Peacock Lilibet's in the Flying Feathers Alliance. He had always behaved respectfully toward her every time he saw her. Therefore, she found it outrageous that he would dare plot against her.

"Shut up!" Garuda's face darkened when he saw Peacock Lilibet's lofty attitude. He walked forward quickly and slapped her on the face. She screamed, and a red handprint immediately appeared on her pale face.

"Stop it with your attitude! Do you think you can still behave so disrespectfully toward me now that the Queen is gone? You're nothing but a prisoner now!" Garuda said between gritted teeth while looking coldly at her. There was also a tinge of mania in his expression.

He was delighted. 'It's payback for all the grief I have suffered under Peacock Lilibet! That will teach her not to behave so impudently toward me.'

The slap stunned Peacock Lilibet momentarily, and it took her a few seconds to snap back to her senses. "How dare you slap me! I will kill you for that!" she snarled. She had always looked down on him and nearly broke down there and then.

Peacock Lilibet and Colori Phoenix glared at Garuda with eyes full of anger and complexity.

Garuda chuckled softly before he said, "That rascal is right. I was the one who ambushed the Red Sparrow Queen. The White Tiger King had severely injured her, and it would have taken her a long time to recover. The Flying Feathers Alliance could only be saved if she passed the Power of Bird Ancestor to me, but instead, she chose to pass it on to that human. She deserved to die for doing that."

He almost screamed out the last sentence, and his eyes were filled with venomous hatred.
