Darryl spewed out a mouthful of blood the moment he landed on the ground. His face was pale and his breath was extremely weak.
‘F*ck!’ anger rose inside of him and his eyes turned red as he glared at Lorelle. ‘This woman is crazy!’
Before Darryl could get back up on his feet, Lorelle ran right in front of him and stepped on his face. She looked down at Darryl arrogantly as she asked with a condescending tone, “Hey, you petty attendant, be honest with me. Did you steal Mister Ghost Valley Sage’s technique? Is that why you have the White Lily Cold Flame?"
Lorelle looked at Darryl with contempt as she interrogated him. She could sense that Darryl was not powerful but he possessed the White Lily Cold Flame. She assumed that he must have been learning Mister Ghost Valley Sage’s technique in secret.
Harrison, who was next to Lorelle, looked indifferently at Darryl. Like Lorelle, Harrison thought that Darryl was strange.
‘F*ck!’ Darryl was infuriated to be stepped on by Lorelle.
"I’ve acquired the White Lily Cold Flame technique myself. It had nothing to do with my Mas–" he said, gritting his teeth.
Darryl wanted to say that it had nothing to do with his master, but he stopped himself in the nick of time when he remembered he was supposed to beGhost Valley Sage’s attendant. "It has nothing to do with Mister Ghost Valley Sage."
‘Did he say that he acquired the technique by himself?’ Lorelle did not believe Darryl at all and there was a flash of discontent and a cunning look in her eyes.
“Don't lie to me. Do you really think you can acquire the White Lily Cold Flame on your own with your level of strength? I will crush you if you keep lying!" she said.
Then, she drew out a soft, golden whip and threatened Darryl, “Do you know what this is? It’s called the Soul Slayer Whip. Your soul will disappear after a few lashes from this.”
Lorelle looked smug and pleased with herself, while Harrison frowned at her. However, he did nothing to stop her.
Darryl gasped at the sight of the Soul Slayer Whip and said coldly, "Don't cross a line! I'm Mister Ghost Valley Sage's attendant and he won’t spare you if you destroy my soul.”
Darryl had no time to think as he saw the whip coming down on him. He was weak because of Lorelle’s palm attack, but strangely, he found the strength to roll himself away and break free from Lorelle. Then, he quickly got up and ran as fast as he could.
He knew he was no match for Lorelle in a duel. Then again, he would not allow himself to be humiliated. He decided to run back into the courtyard after breaking free from Lorelle as he was sure that she would not dare act presumptuously around Ghost Valley Sage.
However, Darryl was not familiar with Ghost Mountain and he was simply running for his life without knowing where he was heading. Instead of heading to the small courtyard where Ghost Valley Sage lived, he ran out and away from the Ghost Mountain range.
"Do you think you can run away from me?" Lorelle's pretty face changed drastically at the sight of Darryl successfully breaking free from her grip. She stomped her feet and chased after him while clutching tightly onto the whip.
Harrison was also stunned and went after Lorelle without a second thought. In the blink of an eye, the three of them had left the Ghost Mountain range.
Darryl was devastated when he noticed the unfamiliar surroundings around him.
