Lolita was panicked; she peeped through the window to check out the situation outside the carriage.
What?
Lolita was shocked.
She thought those men would take her far away from Pearl City, but Osram and his men were driving the unicorn carriage toward the city.
'What is going on?'
Lolita was dubious.
'Do those people have bad intentions toward me?'
A few minutes later, the unicorn carriage stopped at the Damien family's manor gate.
"Miss Lolita!"
Osram was respectful toward Lolita. He said politely, "You must be frightened, but don't worry. Everything is okay now." Osram was smiling when he said that. He no longer had a ferocious look; he looked like a different person.
"You—"
Lolita bit her lip in surprise. "Who are you? Why did you help me?"
Lolita finally realized that the people in front of her had saved her, but she did not even know them.
Osram scratched his head and replied truthfully, "My name is Osram. Actually, Miss Lolita, you don't have to thank me. It is our boss who told us to protect you discreetly."
Osram was a straightforward person, and he spoke whatever was on his mind.
'Boss?'
Lolita was even more confused. She noticed that those people were of extraordinary background. 'Do I know their boss?'
Lolita racked her brain for an answer, and she asked, "Who is your boss?"
"Miss Lolita!"
A middle-aged woman walked out of the manor quickly, accompanied by a cry of joy; that woman had a thin face and freckles all over her face. It was the butler, Laura.
Osram could not carry on talking when he saw someone else was there. He smiled and said, "Miss Lolita, you should rest early. By the way, you must be careful of that Grady in the future. He is not a good person."
Then, Osram left in a hurry with his men.
"Miss Lolita!"
As soon as Osram left, Laura approached Lolita. She was worried. "Didn't you go out with Young Master Grady? Why did you come back alone? Also, who were those men? They look fierce and evil."
Laura noticed that Lolita's lovely face was pale; she was obviously frightened.
"Don't ever mention Grady to me again."
