Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 3429

Just when Marshall was still thinking about how to get out of this mess, the Queen said, “Marshall, you were definitely in the wrong. Apologize to Darren now.”

She then glanced at Darryl, her eyes filled with admiration.

“Yes, Your Majesty!” He had no choice but to do what she said.

He walked over to Darryl and, in a low voice, said, “I’m sorry, Darren. I was a bit out of line. Please forgive me.”

His words were said between gritted teeth and there was no disguising the anger and humiliation he was feeling. ‘D*mn you, Darren. I’ll make you pay for this.’

Darryl smiled at him and did not take his unwillingness to heart. “You’re forgiven, Your Excellency. Actually, I should be thanking you, for if it were not for your insistence, I would not have this chance to show off my power to everyone.”

Darryl’s attitude nearly made Marshall blow his top, but he forced himself to choke down his words.

“Silence. I decree that from today onwards, Darren will hold the position of the commander of the royal guards. This is a reward for his exceptional performance today as a beast trainer,” said the Queen with a wave of her hand.

The audience voiced their amazement as they looked at Darryl with envy in their eyes. Soon, they filed up after one another to give him their congratulations. Darryl greeted each of them with a smile and small talk.

Madam Pandora also walked over to him, and in a gentle voice, said, “Your Excellency, you’re performance was brilliant? How did you do it? What’s your secret to taming the Golden Lions?”

Her expression was one of pure curiosity.

She was sitting on a chair and sitting opposite her was a majestic man in armor who seemed to be beyond mad at something. That man was Marshall.

“D*mmit!” He gulped down his drink and continued, “Today was so humiliating for me! I won’t be called a human if I don’t take revenge!”

His anger knew no bounds after what happened today — first his son and then him.

Madame Pandora smiled faintly and tried to console him. “Your Excellency, there’s no need to waste your breath on a kid like him. Though truth to be told, I find him really interesting.”

She then got up to pour him another drink.
