Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 3411

"Your Excellency, since that is all a misunderstanding, maybe—" Butch said with a placating expression on his face.

Darryl interrupted him with a wave of his hand. "You may leave now."

Butch nodded furiously and was about to leave when he suddenly caught a glimpse of Dennis. "Your Excellency, should I teach that man over there a lesson for behaving so disrespectfully toward you?" He glared at Dennis. Anger rose at the thought of how he nearly killed the organization's important guest because of Dennis.

Dennis shuddered involuntarily under Butch's glare as the color drained from his face. He found it hard to stand when both of his legs became like jelly.

Darryl took a deep breath and shook his head. "There's no need for that. I suggest all of you leave here as soon as possible."

He did not say that because he was not angry that Dennis decided to sacrifice him. Instead, he wanted to get back to the palace as quickly as possible to look for the Holy Jade Scripture.

Butch had no choice but to leave with his men at Darryl's refusal.

Angeline, Dennis, and his men could not believe what they were seeing. Why did those men leave that quickly? However, they were visibly relieved, especially Dennis. He wiped the sweat off his brows.

'They're finally gone. I dread to think what would happen if they are still here,' Dennis thought. Then, he walked toward Darryl and asked coldly, "What happened just now?"

Angeline walked forward too and looked at Darryl with puzzlement. "Darren, what's going on? Why did they behave so respectfully toward you just now?"

"Oh, there's a simple explanation for that. Your mission is to sneak into the palace, so it's only natural you would stay here with us," Dennis said without missing a beat.

"Fine. Why don't you ask them if you really don't believe me? I bet they're still close by," Darryl said calmly.

"You—" Dennis' face became red with anger, but he had no comeback. Why would he risk his life for something like that?

"Fine, let's wrap it up now!" Angeline said with a frown. She was tired of their bickering. "It's late now, and there's still no sign of the dragon. I'm hungry, so why don't you all go and find something for me to eat. After that, I'm going back to the palace."

Since the request came from Angeline, Dennis quickly ordered his men to find her food somewhere near the cave.
