The four rats felt their eyes burned from the spiciness and they lost their visions temporarily.

Lin Weihao fired the shots and coated the bullets with lightning making the rats paralyzed.

Because of their attribute, the effects of the lightning doubled.

Bingwen and Hei Qian’s attention was on the rats and due to it, they haven’t noticed that streak of lightning.

They only saw the rats froze mid air and convulsed.

Lin Weihao was about to fire another round but before he can do so, he felt a mental tremendous energy in the air and the four rats shrieked.

Their bellies had blasted holes.

Bits of the rats’ blood, flesh, and organs splattered around and the remnants of the four rats dropped to the steps, joining the pile of dead rats.

Nanzhi returned to the poor man’s ways and didn’t complain anymore.

"If you’re exhausted, then take a rest and I will take care of the rest." Lin Weihao held her hands.

Lu Nanzhi shook her head. "Do you think I’ll feel well to see you work alone while I watch?"

"It’s alright. If it’s you, I don’t mind." It’s the husband’s job to let his wife be happy after all. Lin Weihao reasoned in his mind.

"Work and rewards is equally distributed." Nanzhi didn’t take up the offer.

Lin Weihao also never brought up the matter again but his heart warmed.

Having a wife that will not let you suffer alone is a blessing.

After spending three harrowing hours, Nanzhi and Lin Weihao finally collected all the spars and clean the bodies.

Nanzhi destroyed the bodies of those without tiers and only kept those with tiers for baits.

Using bleach and water, they cleaned up the blood before concocting a mixture of lemon juice, clove, and cinnamon in a pot.

At four in the morning, they finally managed to return to the unit.

When they opened the door, they found the four asleep and sprawled near the door hugging pillows and blankets.

Lin Weihao and Nanzhi carried them to the sofa and the beds.

Because there was only a few hours left before sunrise, the two retired for the bed.

"I’ll see you tomorrow." Lin Weihao patted her head like he usually does before entering the guest bedroom.

Once Nanzhi closed the door and withdrew the Function Card from her inventory.
