Nicole looked over toward them and saw Jared. Though, she was not surprised. She walked over to him casually, stood beside him, and said calmly, "You're late."

The smile in Jared's eyes deepened. He watched as Nicole took his hand and pulled him toward Elijah.

"Here is the answer to your question," she said. Her voice was low, but there was a hint of certainty.

Nicole glanced at Jared and said, "This is the man I like."
