In the room, Nicole looked at the set of doors, suddenly wishing that Jared would regain consciousness, so that she would have more time.

"Nicole, who are those people you're talking about?" Carl asked upon hearing what she had said.

"Oh, nothing. I'm talking about the people from the Raven. Have you met them outside before?" Nicole asked, concealing the truth from him.

Carl looked at Nicole in disbelief, after which he continued to pay attention to the battle outside. It was clear that the situation outside had gotten messy. The men who were not part of the Raven had gradually be caught in the siege mounted by the Raven, and in the midst of the battle, they were caught in the crossfire.
