Hearing my words, Evan suddenly lost his strength and fell back to the ground with a helpless, sad look, "This is my choice."
I frowned in disbelief, feeling stunned for a moment, and tried to drag him away. "No, you are not sober now. The decisions you're making now are all wrong. You must come with me!"
Maybe I was no longer fighting with Hendrix or Jordan, but I couldn't keep quiet and let this happen. I couldn't allow myself to see my family or friends getting mentally and physically abused and end up giving up themselves. I'd seen it once, and it would not happen again.
But my little strength was nothing compared to Evan's strong body. He was like a heavyweight, who insisted not to move, and there's nothing I could do to move him.
I felt defeated. I let go of Evan and sighed helplessly. I looked down at the ground and felt dizzy in my head.
Was this a dream?
Or was it an illusion? Or how else would things turn out this was? The situation was completely out of control as if there was no other way to solve this at all.
The whole atmosphere fell into a strange silence, and none of us said a word. Jordan, who was still upstairs, didn't take any further action. I wasn't sure whether he and Hendrix knew each other's presence, or was it all just an act to test each other?
The only thing that I was sure was that no matter whether Hendrix was good or bad, he was willing to risk everything to get Evan addicted to that drug, which was also a sign that he wanted to go all the way to the dark side.
There was nothing more reassuring than selling a product that you consume yourself. The only smart move Hendrix made was making Evan his replacement as a drug addict.
Jordan's eyes flashed with a hint of evil, and he smiled even more widely, "This is the highest quality and most pure of all. Since he is someone you value so much, why don't you give it to him personally?"
The higher the purity of the drug, the stronger the addiction would be. Even if there was a chance for him to get rid of the addiction in the future, he would suffer a lot more during the process.
Hendrix looked down at the thick syringe and took it. Without hesitation, he walked towards Evan and squatted down.
"Hendrix, you must be crazy! Stop it! If he can't stand it, he'll die!" My brain was buzzing. I tried to stop him with all my strength, but Jordan grabbed me. He was so strong that I didn't have enough strength to fight back.
