My Mommy's Brave Heart novel Chapter 386

After all, she had brought up the request because she wanted to cover her real purpose. But now, the truth was already exposed.

She wondered what storm would hit after Duke was discharged.

……

The weather in autumn was cool and dry.

The sunlight shone in from the window and landed on George’s eyelids, which trembled strongly before he opened his eyes.

The first thing he saw was Harold’s smiling face.

“George, you’re finally awake!”

Harold smiled happily.

He had sneaked into George’s room last night and accompanied him throughout the night.

George was a light sleeper. Whenever Harold came over in the past, George would wake up. But last night, George slept deeply.

When George came back last night, the back of his head was full of blood. Harold was really afraid that George would not wake up again after he fell asleep, so he had been watching over him.

“George, does your head still hurt? Do you want me to change the dressing for you?”

Harold carried a medical kit over while he spoke with concern.

George’s heart was filled with warmth. He propped himself up on the bed before he said, “I’m fine. My head doesn’t hurt for now.”

Harold bit his bottom lip and spoke only after he struggled for a few minutes. “George, what happened last night? I asked Papa Brown, but he refused to tell me. When I called and questioned Uncle Liam, he said that witch, Dew, kidnapped you last night. George, why would Dew kidnap you? Why did she want to kidnap you? I’m the one who hates her. She should vent her anger on me…”

George felt aggrieved. “Harold, I’m sorry.”

George nodded.

He used to think that his brother was silly and cute because Harold called his own biological mother the “evil witch,” but he called his mother’s enemy “Mommy.”

But now he discovered that he was actually the idiot.

Harold’s intuition had been accurate since he could pinpoint Adina from thousands of people, and coincidentally, Adina turned out to be their biological mother.

Harold was the most brilliant person.

“Oh, my gosh! Aunt Adina is my mommy!” Harold paced back and forth while he talked incoherently. “If Aunt Adina’s my mother, then Mel’s my sister. Oh, God! Is this true?”

When George saw the way Harold looked, he smiled and shook his head.

He pulled his blanket away, got up, and sat in front of his desk before he switched on his computer.
