Adina held a small leather bag and walked into Daugherty Corporation. The people around her cast a strange glance at her.

“Ms. Adina has just gotten a share of Daugherty Corporation, but she’s going to be kicked out of the Board of Directors now. What a poor lady.”

“She’s not poor. She spoke arrogantly without thinking about the situation, so it’s just backfiring on her now.”

Mr. Porter nodded. “We’re having an internal meeting today. Please leave, Adina.”

“You suggested the bet, and since you’ve lost, you should admit to it,” Aaron said coldly. “Get out!”

Adina had spoken firmly the other day, which made him think this daughter of his could really secure the Boyd Corporation project.

Yet, this morning, everyone said that Boyd Corporation had collaborated with the Jones family.
