"You know you've earned a place in my heart, right?" Lucius said sincerely.
"Lucius… you've already made up your mind, haven't you?"
"Yeah, and I'm not changing it. In fact, I talked to my sister and asked her to help me find a house in Hesperia."
"Serenity…"
"Yeah, Serenity. But I'm not going to live with them. I asked her to look for a house in Bellavista—I think that's what it's called. Amanda told me she lived in Bellavista and Foxridge, so I asked Serenity to find a place in either of those towns."
"Is that really what you want?"
"Yes, it is. I'll figure it out. Remember, I'm used to being alone. Actually, thanks to you guys, I've learned to enjoy company—but most of my life, I've been on my own."
"Lucius… I don't think I'll be able to talk you out of it, will I?"
"Nope, I've made up my mind. And believe me, no matter how hard you try, you won't change it…"
"Alright… just let me help you pick the house, make sure it has the right amenities and that it's safe for the baby…"
"Thank you! I knew you'd understand…"
"Even if it breaks my heart… I'll let you go. But I promise to visit as much as I can."
"I really appreciate that. You'll always be welcome…"
"But tell me one thing… what are you going to do? You're not studying anymore, and as for work…"
"Yeah, I know, I don't have a job yet, but… At first I thought I'd just take any job. But Moriarty told me about the money my grandfather left for me…
"So with that, I can start something. The only thing your hubby doesn't want is for me to fall back into what I used to do."
"That wouldn't be a good example for Amanda—and it's way too risky…"
"I know! I've already talked a bit with Alden and Serenity. He said he'd help advise me on how to invest the money. Of course, I'm looking for something that won't keep me from taking care of my daughter."
"I really would've loved it if you'd stuck with the idea of becoming a judge…"
"Life changes, plans change… I know you'll all understand eventually…"
"When would you leave?"
"As soon as I find a place to live…"
