My Husband's Affair My Anniversary Gift (Lily and David) novel Chapter 80

Olivia’s face was pale, her lips trembling slightly, her hand clutching her chest. She tried to speak, but no sound came out, only a pained gasp. David’s arms held her tightly as he knelt on the stairs, panic flashing across his usually calm face.

“Stay with me, Mum. Don’t you close your eyes!” David’s voice was shaking, something Lily had never heard from him before. His composure was gone, replaced by raw fear.

“Mum, please, it’s okay, help is coming!” Lily said desperately, crouching beside them. She reached out and took Olivia’s cold hand in both of hers, tears welling up in her eyes.

Olivia’s breathing was shallow, every breath sounding like a struggle.

“Liz! LIZ!” David shouted, his voice echoing through the house. The housekeeper came running from the kitchen, her face paling when she saw Olivia slumped in David’s arms.

“Oh my God! Ma’am!” Liz gasped, her hands covering her mouth in shock.

“Call the gate! Tell them to open for the ambulance! Hurry!” David barked. Liz nodded quickly and ran off, fumbling for her phone.

“Hold on, Mum. Hold on…” David whispered, lowering his head close to Olivia’s.

Lily was trembling so badly her knees felt weak. She wanted to cry, but she forced herself to stay focused. “It’s okay, Mum. Just stay with us, please,” she said softly, trying to sound calm even though her heart was breaking inside.

David adjusted his grip, lifting Olivia carefully into his arms. “We can’t wait! I’m taking her to the car!” His voice was harsh, urgent.

“David, the ambulance......” Lily started, but he cut her off.

“She doesn’t have time!” His voice was almost a growl. “Open the door!”

Lily quickly ran ahead, throwing the front door open. David carried Olivia out, his face grim, every muscle tense with fear. Lily followed close behind, tears streaming down her face as she dialed the ambulance again, yelling at them to hurry.

Just as they reached the car, the sound of sirens cut through the air. Lily froze for a second, her chest tight, then turned her head to see the ambulance rushing into the Hardison villa. The loud sound of tires screeched as it stopped near the entrance.

The paramedics jumped out quickly, pulling out a stretcher. David didn’t waste a second—he carefully lifted Olivia in his arms and carried her towards them. His face was pale, panic written all over it.

“Please, hurry! She’s having a heart attack,” David’s voice cracked as he laid Olivia down on the stretcher.

Lily followed right behind, her fingers trembling as she held onto Olivia’s hand, whispering, “Mum, stay strong, please… hold on.”

The paramedics moved fast, checking her pulse, putting an oxygen mask on her, and strapping her safely. The house staff and Lize also came rushing out, all of them shocked and worried.

“Let’s get her in the ambulance now,” one of the paramedics said.
