My Disabled CEO Stood up And Kissed Me novel Chapter 218

Chapter 218 You Can Call Me Nat.

Owen was walking forward, and the two of them fell into a line. He frowned when he overheard Natalie being yelled at. He turned back to ask, "This is my assistant. Is there a problem?"

So what if they paid him a lot of money?

Could their attitude be any better?

They were here to save lives.

They were not here to beg.

Owen stepped forward and shielded Natalie behind. He faced the man and slowly removed his mask, saying, "The flu is prevalent in the winter. Mr. Frank Williamson is weak. I suggested you all wear masks indoors. Why didn't anyone listen?"

Well.

Owen turned the tables just like that.

He questioned him, and the man was left speechless.

Sure enough, he was taught by Brynn.

Although Owen usually seemed mild-mannered and as though a nice guy, he wasn't really temperless.

"Please let Dr. Gentry and the others in," a cold female voice came.

Elsie came over. She spoke gently to the man, "Grandpa said to be polite to visiting doctors. Otherwise, no one will come to treat him anymore."

The man frowned and glanced at her. But eventually, he stepped aside.

Natalie and Elsie exchanged glances.

Elsie seemed surprised for a moment.

However, she quickly smiled at Owen. "My grandfather is waiting for you."

The main house of the Williamson family was beautifully furnished and exquisite. Despite the decor showing signs of age, it conveyed a sense of desolation.

Natalie followed Owen into the master bedroom on the first floor.

There laid a lonely and thin old man on the bed.

He looked ill and weak.

So this was Frank Williamson, Ryland's father.

He was once the president of the State Development Bank and a key figure in Hamgrad's economic policies.

He had retired for many years, and his health had been deteriorating. Now, he was even showing signs of delirium.

Frank had been taken to the hospital before, but they couldn't find any issues. After spending some time there, his condition improved, and he returned home for rest. However, soon enough, his old health problems resurfaced.

Natalie used a stethoscope to listen to his heartbeat.

Frank's heartbeat was too slow. Besides, he was frail and thin. He was not suitable for a blood draw in his current situation.

The one-eyed man followed them in and stared at them.

Natalie felt a chill down her spine.

She and Owen exchanged glances. Owen's expression seemed to say, "Now you know how it feels, right?"

After checking Frank's body, Owen injected the detoxification solution into him.

Thirty minutes passed...

The one-eyed man came over and whispered, "If his condition doesn't improve this time, we'll consider changing doctors."

What an uncultured person!

How could he say something like that to a doctor at a time like this?

Natalie gave him a look that was colder and fiercer than his. It made his expression shift.

She was obviously challenging him.

Just as he was about to speak, a weak voice came from the bed, "Water!"

Frank suddenly regained consciousness.

Natalie quickly went to pour water.

Owen helped Frank sit up to drink.

"Go prepare some spinach and eggs in the kitchen," she ordered the one-eyed man.

After injecting the detoxification solution, patients might experience acid reflux. They would need to supplement with alkaline foods and proteins.

The man paused.

"Go quickly. When you come in, remember to disinfect yourself again. This is a sterile environment," Natalie pointed to him and commanded.

"Listen to the doctor."

Although the old man lying on the bed was weak, he had regained some strength and started talking.

The man turned and left.

Frank had been in a coma for over a day. Now, his condition was improving, and he looked at Owen with cloudy eyes. He said with a hoarse voice, "Owen, I see you again. Am I still alive?"

Natalie was speechless.

This old man was unexpectedly humorous.

Currently, Frank's illness couldn't be diagnosed. The urine test to check for his metal salt precipitation after the detox injection would take three days.

Natalie and Owen didn't stay much longer.

When they were leaving, they coincidentally met Caitlin returning. She stopped Owen to inquire about Frank's condition and only let them go after questioning. Her attitude was quite arrogant.

It wasn't until they were in the car that both Natalie and Owen took off their masks and took a deep breath.

"Come to collect samples for metal salt testing tomorrow," Natalie instructed.

"Okay," Owen nodded.

Natalie pursed her lips. "If it's confirmed that he has metal poisoning, things might be more complicated than we thought."

Owen remained silent.

"Saving lives is the priority!" They both suddenly spoke in unison.

......

After eating, Frank lay down to rest. By now, his consciousness was gradually clearing. He felt a tingling sensation in his legs, but it wasn't painful. He seemed to have regained some strength.

What was the name of that girl again?

His memory wasn't good, and he had forgotten.

It seemed like her name was Natalie Quinn.

She had the same last name as Brynn.

Caitlin entered the room and asked, "Dad, are you feeling any better?"

"I'm much better," Frank spoke slowly. He leaned back on the pillow and was lost in thought.

Caitlin chattered on, but he seemed not to have heard a word.

After a long time, he finally asked, "Have you managed to contact Brynn?"

The mention of Brynn's name triggered Caitlin.

She was fuming with rage.

Brynn! Brynn again!

As an outsider and an adopted daughter, Brynn seemed to be more important to Frank than his biological daughter, which was her.

Even her brother liked her.

Everyone liked her!

Caitlin took a deep breath before calming down. In a cold, sharp voice, she said, "Dad, you must be confused. Brynn colluded with foreign forces, stole secrets, and fled twenty years ago. Have you forgotten about her betrayal of the Williamson family and shooting towards my brother?"
