My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 807

Lionel said nothing, just watched Quennel with an amused expression.

Seeing how ghastly his face had become, the corners of Lionel's mouth couldn't help but curve upward.

Quennel had always maintained a detached, composed, and fearless facade, as if nothing could ever shake him.

That attitude, that very appearance, was something Lionel had always despised. He never imagined that one day he would be the one to personally shatter the mask Quennel had worn for so many years.

"Quennel, what do you think would happen if I showed this video to Hannah? Would she still see you as that perfect, wonderful big brother of hers?"

Ever since he married Hannah, Lionel had been telling her that Quennel was no good and that she should stay away from him.

But the man was too skilled at deception, always managing to wrap Hannah around his little finger. No matter what Lionel said, she wouldn't believe him.

However, judging from what she had said to him today, it was clear that Hannah had already started to suspect Quennel.

Whether he showed her this video or not was, at this point, almost irrelevant.

After watching the security footage, Quennel's expression gradually returned to its previous state of calm composure.

"I don't quite understand what this video is supposed to mean. That I had this man hypnotize Hannah?"

Quennel's tone was steady, as if he genuinely wasn't afraid of Lionel showing the video to Hannah.

In reality, however, his heart was pounding with terror.

But in those few short seconds, he had already thought it through. Hannah had been thoroughly hypnotized, so showing her the video would be useless. She now loved him most of all. If she saw this, he could say a few words, and she would still believe him and think Lionel was the liar.

His brow furrowed as he discreetly sized up Lionel.

He must be bluffing. After talking to Marcus Hale, he decided to say this to spook me, to make me doubt myself and make a mistake out of fear.

Quennel's prominent Adam's apple bobbed as he let out a cold laugh.

"Lionel, I don't know what you're talking about. But the fact that you hired someone to intentionally run Marcus Hale over is known by many. I suggest you release him immediately and turn yourself in. Don't compound your mistakes!"

Quennel stood up and looked at him, asking coldly, "Where is Marcus Hale? I'm taking him to the hospital for a full check-up and to apologize properly on your behalf."

Lionel also stood, his expression still fearless as he met Quennel's gaze.

"Are you sure you want to take him for a check-up, or do you want to silence him for good?"
