He took a deep breath, exhaled slowly, and stared directly at Hannah.
"Hannah, I wanted to ask you, did you deliberately choose today to come to the family estate and tell me about the divorce proceedings?"
"You knew the elders favor Quennel, you knew that servant was just a scapegoat, and you knew I was going to the estate today to demand an explanation from them. And you chose this exact moment to show up."
"And all those paparazzi at the gate—they were never there before. Did you arrange for them to be here?"
After hearing Lionel's accusations, Hannah's expression remained perfectly still. Cherry, on the other hand, was visibly stunned, her face a mask of disbelief as she stared at Lionel.
Even Samuel wore the same shocked expression.
"Open the gate," Hannah commanded coldly, her eyes fixed on Quennel.
Though Cherry didn't know why Hannah wanted the gate opened, she immediately motioned for the butler to do so.
Lionel assumed Hannah had heard him and felt it was inappropriate to answer in front of the paparazzi, so she was letting him in.
The gate slowly swung open. Seeing enough of a gap, Lionel took a step forward to walk inside, but Hannah shoved him back out.
"Hannah?"
"Smack—"
A crisp slap echoed through the air before anyone could react.
