They never expected the news to come to them so easily. It was like searching high and low for something, only to have it appear right in front of you.
"So, yesterday, the three elders of the Rosenberg family called a short meeting at the old estate to discuss Lionel's future with the family. But they started arguing before the meeting even began."
Hannah shot Cherry a knowing look.
Cherry didn't keep her in suspense. "When Lionel arrived at the estate yesterday, he didn't greet the elders. He just walked in arrogantly and sat down."
"The elders thought he was incredibly rude for not greeting them, so they demanded he go back outside and enter again with a proper greeting. Of course, someone as proud and arrogant as Lionel refused."
"So they got into a little argument over it, and in the end, Lionel was forced to go out and come back in to greet them."
As Cherry recounted the story, she couldn't stop herself from bursting into laughter, slapping her thigh to keep from being too loud. She continued.
"And that's not all! After he greeted them, he went right back to his usual arrogant self. He even told the elders that all this was just empty, meaningless ceremony."
"He said they were there to decide if he could stay in the Rosenberg family, so there was no need for such pointless formalities and they should just get to the point. The elders felt he was being disrespectful and told him to fix his attitude."
"But he accused them of using their status to throw their weight around and pressure him, so he refused to back down, and it turned into a huge fight."
