My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 703

Faced with Lionel's intense questioning, Hannah didn't flinch. She nodded emphatically, her expression completely natural as she replied.

"Yes, we'll do exactly what you said. Let's go, it's almost our turn. I don't want to waste any more time. I have things to do today, unlike some unemployed person with nothing better to do."

Hannah deliberately adopted a nonchalant tone, as if the whole matter was trivial and insignificant to her.

But the more indifferent she acted, the more suspicious Lionel became.

He watched as Hannah turned to walk inside, but then he stopped her again. "A verbal promise isn't enough. Sign an agreement with me. Only then will I feel comfortable going in there with you."

His words made Hannah freeze for a moment. She paused, then slowly turned back to face him.

"We've been fighting for so long, arguing for so long. I thought that by now, you might have matured a little. But you haven't. You still talk with that same arrogant, condescending tone, expecting everyone to do exactly as you say."

Hannah let out a deep sigh. "Let me ask you something. You were the one who asked to meet me, you were the one who came up with this whole ridiculous plan, and I agreed to it. And now you're pulling this? What exactly are you trying to do?"

"Do you think the world revolves around you, that everyone has to play along with your whims? I'm not going to. It's simple. Either we go in there right now, or you can get lost."

But despite Hannah's tirade, Lionel remained fixated on his demand.
