My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 693

After a moment of excitement, Cherry's tone grew serious. “If you really don't want to see him, then don't. Don't put yourself through that just for me. I know you don't want to see him. I mean, who would want to have anything to do with a guy like that?”

Having dealt with Lionel so much recently, she now fully understood what kind of idiot he was. Being around someone like that was just plain disgusting.

And it wasn't just Hannah; even she found herself arguing with him almost every time they interacted.

She had no idea how they found so much to argue about. Before she met him, Cherry had always considered herself a fairly even-tempered person.

But being around him, it felt like the smallest thing could set them off. And every time they argued, she would feel angry even if she won.

“I don't feel like I'm putting myself out. Just go ahead and do it with confidence. If I didn't want to go, I would have told you. Don't overthink it.”

Since Hannah had put it that way, there was no point in her being coy about it.

Cherry nodded firmly. “Hannah, don't worry. I'll call Lionel right away. I'm going to squeeze every last resource out of him. We deserve it for all our efforts.”

After ending the call, Lionel placed his phone on the table, his entire being consumed by anxiety. He stared at the phone, hoping Cherry would call him back immediately.

Of course, he knew that was impossible, but right now, he had no energy for anything else. All his thoughts were focused on waiting for that call.
