My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 656

Hearing Hannah’s conclusion, Samuel’s interest was piqued. He immediately sat up straight and chimed in.

“Why don’t we call that courier over? We can time his route from the hospital to his house, check his transaction records, and see if he transferred any money to someone.”

Samuel looked at Lionel with a perfectly straight face. “That way, we can find out if the courier hired someone to forge the handwriting. Of course, it’s also possible he’s a skilled forger himself. It’s not out of the question, right?”

Samuel’s voice was dripping with sarcasm, and he couldn't help but let out a chuckle midway through his speech.

“A skilled forger who can mimic handwriting perfectly and work that fast wouldn’t be cheap. It’s a messy business, but if we can prove the courier did it, we can sue him for tampering with mail. That’s a federal offense. He’d go to jail!”

He suddenly seemed to remember something, his expression turning deadly serious as he stared at Lionel.

“Call that courier right now. We need to file a police report and get an investigation started. We can't let criminals like that roam free. Hurry up!”

For some reason, Samuel’s words made Lionel’s stomach churn with anxiety.

Seeing him remain silent and motionless, Samuel slammed his palm on the table in a show of anger, rising to his feet. “What are you waiting for?” he snarled, gritting his teeth. “Because of this courier, the three of us are sitting here pointing fingers at each other! He broke the law! Call the police. If you won’t, I will.”

With that, Samuel pulled out his phone as if to make the call. His eyes were fixed on the screen, but he slowly looked up at Lionel, pausing as if waiting for his command.
